In short, 12v strips are goo for small runs or for installation into vehicles, 24v LED strip is far superior when it comes to longer runs,
Choose 24V LED strips for almost all modern home, commercial, or custom installations. Choose 12V LED strips only if you are powering them directly from a 12V battery system, such as in a car, caravan, or boat.
The primary difference between the two is voltage drop (dimming at the end of a long run) and how long your maximum continuous strip can be without losing brightness.
